Our Approach to Donations
Donations made to LokPrerana Foundation are voluntary contributions made in support of our charitable objectives. All donations, once made, are final and non-refundable, regardless of the amount, payment method or reason cited, except where required by applicable law.
This policy exists because donated funds may be allocated to ongoing programs and beneficiaries shortly after receipt and because donations to a Section 8 nonprofit are not commercial transactions.
Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transactions
If you believe a donation was made using your payment instrument without your authorization (e.g., a lost/stolen card or hacked account), please report it directly to your bank, card issuer or payment gateway, who are best placed to investigate and reverse unauthorized charges under their own fraud protection processes. You're welcome to also notify us at admin@lokprerana.org so we can assist and flag the transaction on our end.
Cancellation of Recurring Donations
If you have set up a recurring/monthly donation, you may cancel future payments at any time by emailing admin@lokprerana.org with your registered name and payment reference. Cancellation will take effect from the next billing cycle. In line with our no-refund policy, we are unable to reverse any payment that has already been processed.
Tax Receipts
Once a donation receipt or tax exemption certificate is issued under Section 354(4) (the Income Tax Act's current provision for donation tax benefits, equivalent to the erstwhile Section 80G), the corresponding donation cannot subsequently be refunded, cancelled or reversed under any circumstances.
Contributions made to the Foundation are voluntary and shall not be considered investments, deposits, financial products or arrangements that promise returns, profit, or ownership rights.
